Who are the Amish and what are their beliefs?
The Amish are a group of people who live in
America and Canada who are strong followers of Christianity. They are descendants of the
Anabaptists and appear for the first time in Europe in 1693. Many reasons
encouraged this community and many others
to leave Europe and to move elsewhere (wars, etc.).. They settled in
America around 1730, in Pennsylvania more precisely. But, even in this country
they had suffered other war (the War of Independence in the 18th century for
example).

My opinions on the aspects of their culture
They have many practices which are not
conventional. One of these is that they do not allow the using of any
technology in their villages (like the internet or electric power). This is
very rare for modern people to not use technology and it is different to most
western people. Also, they do not follow the normal schools of the rest of North
America. Personally, it is not right to learn without computers, nowadays there
is no country that does not use them. I would find this hard to cope with
because I have done all of my studies with computers. They do not drive cars
because they do not have trust in them so they do not see all of their country.
They only live in one village for their entire lives and this is boring. . All of that is strange for me and shocking.
A brief overview of the attacks
In Ohio, in America there have been many hate crimes which have been committed by Samuel Mullett and other people. There is a local feud in the community between different groups. He has done many things that are called evil by other people in the community. If they are all part of the same minority community then why are they fighting. They should support each other.
